Sell a Flood-Damaged Car in Miami — Cash & Free Junk Car Removal

Car flooded in Miami or Kendall? Don't try to start it. Here's how E.T. Towing buys flood-damaged junk cars for cash with free removal across Miami-Dade. (305) 310-6148.

Flooded car in Miami? Here's the smart way out

After a heavy summer storm, a king tide, or a hurricane, it only takes a few inches of water in the wrong place to turn a daily driver into a problem. If your car sat in water in Kendall, Westchester, Sweetwater or anywhere in Miami-Dade and the repair estimate doesn't make sense, E.T. Towing buys flood-damaged cars for cash and tows them away for free.

We are a mobile, Latino-owned towing and junk car company serving Miami-Dade 24/7. No lot you have to drive to — we come to you. One number: (305) 310-6148.

First: don't try to start it

It's tempting to turn the key and "see if it runs." Please don't. If water got into the engine or the electrical system, cranking it can make the damage much worse:

  • Water in the cylinders can bend internal engine parts when the engine turns over.
  • Wet wiring, modules and connectors can short out once power flows through them.
  • Water in the fuel tank or transmission spreads to parts that were still OK.

Leave it off, take photos, and disconnect the battery only if you know how to do it safely. Then make your calls.

Signs your car took real flood damage

Not every wet carpet means a total loss, but these are warning signs:

  • A waterline or mud on the seats, door panels, or inside the trunk
  • Musty smell or fogging inside the windows that won't go away
  • Warning lights, dead electronics, or windows and locks acting on their own
  • Water or a milky look on the oil dipstick
  • Rust starting on seat rails, bolts under the dash, or brake parts

A mechanic can tell you for sure. If the estimate is close to (or more than) what the car is worth, that's usually when selling it as-is makes the most sense.

Talk to your insurance first (if you have coverage)

If you carry comprehensive coverage, call your insurance company before you sell. Flood damage is often handled under comprehensive, and the insurer may want to inspect the car or take it as a total loss. If they total it and you keep the car, or you never had that coverage, that's where we come in.

Keep in mind that a car the insurance company totals can end up with a branded title (for example, salvage). That's normal for flood cars, and we still buy them in many cases.

How we pick up a car that won't move

Flood cars usually don't roll, steer or start. That's not a problem for us. We use a wheel-lift tow truck with wheel dollies: the wheel-lift picks up one axle and the dollies go under the other wheels, so all four tires are off the ground. That setup lets us safely remove:

  • Cars that won't start or roll after sitting in water
  • AWD and 4x4 vehicles
  • Cars with locked brakes or flat tires
  • Low cars that need careful handling in tight driveways and parking lots

Tell us how the car is sitting when you call, and the driver shows up with the dollies ready.

What you need to sell a flood car for cash

Have these ready to make it fast:

  • The title in your name (salvage or branded titles are OK in many cases)
  • A valid photo ID that matches the title
  • The keys, if you still have them
  • Any lien release, if the car was financed and paid off

No title? Call anyway. In many Florida situations there are still options, and we'll tell you honestly on the phone whether we can buy it.

How it works with E.T. Towing

1. Call or WhatsApp (305) 310-6148 (English o español). 2. Tell us the year, make, model, how high the water got, and where the car is. 3. Send a few photos by text if you can — it helps us give you a firm offer. 4. Accept the offer, pick a pickup time, and we tow it away for free. 5. You get paid at pickup, sign over the title, and you're done.

FAQ

Do you buy cars that were in a flood?

Yes. We buy flood-damaged cars in Miami-Dade as-is, whether they run or not, and the towing is free.

Should I try to start my car after a flood?

No. Starting a flooded engine can cause more damage. Leave it off and call a mechanic, your insurer, or us.

Can you tow a flooded car that won't roll?

Yes. We use a wheel-lift truck with dollies so all four wheels are off the ground. Just tell us on the phone that it won't roll or steer.

Do you buy flood cars with a salvage title?

In many cases, yes. Tell us what the title says when you call and we'll give you a straight answer.

Do I have to be there for the pickup?

Usually yes, to show your ID and sign the title. If you can't be there, call us and we'll see what works.
